Paul Klaus

Lead Pastor

 

Pastor Paul has been at South Shore since February 2021 but has been in ministry since 2000. He has served several churches in North and Central Texas as well as western Kansas before landing in Corpus Christi.  Before his time in ministry, Paul served in the US Army at FT. Hood, TX from 1986-1989. In the spring of 1998 Paul had an encounter with God on the side of a rode in his Ford Escort wagon in Glenmora, Louisiana listening to a show on the radio called Thru the Bible presented by Dr. J. Vernon McGee.  The truth of God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice for him became real to Paul and the direction and course of His life would be forever changed. Paul would later find himself in Paris, Texas serving at a church where he and his wife Lisa would answer calls to ministry. It would take 3 years and driving 150,000 miles to get through seminary. Both Lisa and Paul are ordained ministers. In 2021 Lisa and Paul moved to Corpus Christi and this would also mark their 30^th year in marriage. Lisa and Paul have one daughter, Sarah, who is married and lives in Seattle with her husband Brian.

The heart of Paul’s ministry is to help people know God and make Him known to the world around them. The church serves as a mechanism and institution to make this happen. Paul answered God’s call to South Shore and hopes to spend the remainder of his time in ministry faithfully proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.
